Bologna boss Thiago Motta praised his side’s performance in their 2-0 victory over Roma.

The Rossoblu frustrated Jose Mourinho’s men for all ninety minutes and earned a vital win in the race for top four.

“We had a very good performance. Once again, the lads did really well and managed the game superbly,” he told DAZN.

“From every point of view this performance was excellent. Our results are a direct reflection of the hard work the lads have put in this season. From day one of our preseason retreat their desire was to grow and eventually perform like they did tonight.”

Adding, “They’re aware that there is only one way to obtain results like tonight’s and they’re following that path. We dedicate this win to Sinisa. I have always said that something special can happen when a team works hard but also enjoys being around one another. Seeing them train with great professionalism is a huge emotion.”
