Thiago Motta: “It Was Incredible To Win The Treble With Inter” | OneFootball

Former Inter midfielder Thiago Motta has reminisced about being part of the Inter team who won the treble in the 2009/10 season.

“Winning the treble with Inter was not only a historic year for the club but also for ourselves. Inter had not won the Champions League for such a long time and it was incredible to be able to do it,” Motta explained in an interview with sports streaming service DAZN.

Motta joined Inter in 2009 from Genoa and spent three years with the club before departing for French giants Paris Saint Germain, where he remained for six years before calling time on his playing career.

The 37-year-old took up coaching upon his retirement and managed the under 19 team of the French capital club but was given his first gig in senior football as he was appointed manager of Genoa back in August. Since taking charge, he has won two, drawn two and lost three.
