Thiago Maia hints at upcoming Flamengo return after seven months out

After over half a year out, Flamengo midfielder Thiago Maia is on track to return to action on the pitch for the rubro-negro.

Back in December, the 24-year-old underwent a successful knee operation after suffering an injury against Atlético-GO.

Almost seven months later, the player took to social media to post pictures from a recent training session with his teammates.

The photos are accompanied by the caption “99% loading” alluding that Maia is almost fully fit again.

Depending on if he gets the green light, the midfielder could appear in Flamengo’s match against Fortaleza on Wednesday.
