“They are convinced”- Reliable journo gives his thoughts on Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham

David Ornstein gives the latest on Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham amid Bayern Munich links

Acclaimed journalist David Ornstein was talking on Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE when he was asked about his thoughts on the future of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane amid recent links to Bayern Munich.

Ornstein himself talked about the german giants’ alleged interest in the 29-year-old centre-forward but stated that some believe Kane is so well settled in England that he would not want to play outside.

Ornstein said:

“Where would he [Harry Kane] go?… You have seen the links to Bayern Munich. You speak to some people around the game and they say they are convinced that Harry Kane is so settled in this country that they don’t see him playing outside.”

The journo also talked about past interest from Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United. Ornstein continued:

“Manchester United have always been linked with him. Manchester City tried to sign him. Chelsea were even linked with him previously. Or does he sign a new contract at Tottenham?”

Ha added that if Kane is to pen a new deal, then it has to be the player who has to come forward with it as the club will always be looking to tie him down on a fresh contract.

City have signed Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer but Chelsa and Manchester United are two teams that could use proven, comparatively younger centre-forwards.

Erik ten Hag has clearly failed to develop trust in club legend Cristiano Ronaldo while 33-year-old Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was never going to be a signing with the long-term picture in mind.

Spurs signed Richarlison this summer from Everton but it doesn’t mean that we have a backup in place in case Kane leaves. The Brazil international is a versatile forward who competes with others for starts but there are very few players in the world – if any – that can replicate Kane’s impact on our team.
