Specifically in terms of the transfer market and the value of a player.
LPMG Football Benchmark are renowned for their calculations on a star’s value at any given time.
Various factors such as age, position, contract duration and performance are all taken into account.
They have crunched the data over the past six months and found the 10 players whose value has dipped the most from 1 January of this year to 1 July.
The biggest casualty was Neymar, whose injuries and suspensions since the turn of the year have resulted in his value dropping by €34m.
It is also isn’t pleasant reading for Barcelona or Manchester United fans.
Players from those teams feature twice apiece on the list.
