Callum Robinson’s West Brom future remains uncertain, with Steve Bruce looking to head in a new direction at The Hawthorns.
A report from The Athletic during the week claimed that the Baggies will listen for offers for the Republic of Ireland international, with Robinson still possessing three years on his current deal with the Midlands club.
Scoring seven goals and assisting a further nine in the Championship last time out, Robinson started 26 second tier matches, coming on from the bench in 17.
Assessing what the next step might be for the 27-year-old following this update from The Athletic, Carlton Palmer told FLW: “I think there’ll be interest from other Championship clubs. At what level? I don’t know but I think he will do.
“I mean, he’s not got bad stats at West Brom, he’s just not been a consistent performer and that’s what you want from your players if you’re gonna get promotion. You need players to be consistent and he just hasn’t done that for West Brom.

“So yeah, I think he’ll attract interest from other Championship clubs.”
The verdict
Certainly a player who can still make a real positive impact in the Championship, a potential stumbling block could be the financial side of the deal.
Possessing three years left on his current contract, the Baggies may be demanding a fee that other Championship clubs will not be able to afford, whilst wage demands could be too high too.
Clubs could look towards a loan deal for the 2022/23 season, and whilst it may not be the ideal scenario for the Baggies, it would provide Bruce with another spot in the squad for a player that he is hoping to work with.
Interest could also surface outside of this country, although the aforementioned stumbling block could play a part off the English shores too.
