Theo Hernandez has claimed that he is experiencing the best moment of his career at AC Milan, a club he never wants to leave.
The player has been a phenomenon since his arrival from Real Madrid, and club icon Franco Baresi tweeted to call him the very same after he scored a 91st minute equaliser against Parma on Sunday night to complete a brace and rescue a point for his team as it looked like the unbeaten start would end.
The €20million paid to Real Madrid seemed like a gamble to most, now it is clear how Milan actually got a bargain, because Hernandez is now worth more than the amount spent by Inter for Hakimi (€45m plus €9m bonuses), at least according to Calciomercato.com.
Theo was interviewed by El Transistor about the current moment of excellent form he is in, one which seems to have begun over a year ago when he made the switch to the San Siro.
“Since I have been at Milan I have played quite well, Parma was one of my best games. I think I am in the best moment of my career,” he said (via MilanNews).
“I don’t know if they regretted my departure in Madrid. I arrived at Real very young and I didn’t get any minutes. It was complicated because I didn’t have the confidence that I have now.
“Since I came to Milan, I’ve been doing well. I don’t see myself returning to Real.”
