Milan left-back Theo Hernandez is in contention to return to the Rossoneri starting line-up after being namedd as a substitute in both of the club’s two most recent Serie A matches.

Reports Theo Hernandez in line to return to Milan starting line-up

Theo Hernandez spent the entirety of the 0-0 draw against Genoa on the bench, and then emerged as a second-half substitute during the 1-0 win over Verona on December 20.

According to reports in Italy, Theo is in line to start alongside fellow left-back Alex Jimenez, who has impressed in the Frenchman’s absence.

As per the latest updates from Milannews.it, Theo is likely to start in his natural position at left-back against Roma on Sunday, while Jimenez could be pushed further up the pitch and onto the left wing, as Rafael Leao is unavailable through injury.

Paulo Fonseca has a  long list of injury concerns to contend with this weekend, as Christian Pulisic is not yet expected to return, nor is Leao, nor Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Yunus Musah or Noah Okafor.
