Hearts attacker Lawrence Shankland is aware of Petrocub’s strengths, but is clear what his side need to do to get a result this evening.
The Jambos are currently not having the best of domestic seasons as they are sitting rock bottom in the Scottish Premiership.
In the Conference League, though, they have won two of their five matches so far and have an opportunity to qualify for the playoff round.
Moldovan outfit Petrocub are their opponents tonight at Tynecastle and Shankland stressed Petrocub have some quality in their frontline.
The Jambos star, though, is aware that the Moldovan outfit’s biggest strength is their tight defence and he made it clear that Hearts need to work hard to penetrate that.
“Petrocub haven’t picked up many points in the Conference League so there is that expectancy to go and beat them, but they don’t concede many goals. That’s probably their biggest strength”, Shankland told the Edinburgh News.
“They are quite hard to break down. That’s something we will need to work hard at.
“They also have a wee bit of quality going forward.
“They haven’t scored a lot of goals either but they do have players who are decent in attack.”
Shankland and his team mates will be looking to get back to winning ways at Tynecastle tonight after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Kilmarnock last weekend.
