West Ham United could have been sunk by the very man they tried to sign this summer.
With ten minutes left of the game and the tie level at 1-1, Jhon Durán was sent on for the ineffective Ollie Watkins, and popped up to put his current side ahead.
It came just weeks after West Ham had been locked in talks to sign him from Villa Park, and Durán had even been spotted making the West Ham Irons sign on social media, fuelling speculation of his departure.
During his celebration, Durán apologised to the Aston Villa fans, before revealing that he would be staying in the midlands
They will be hoping the supersub can continue to find the back of the net with the same accuracy as he has today.
