CaughtOffside have dropped a tasty exclusive which claims that there could be a new factor in the chase for the Moroccan right back.

They claim that Hakimi’s extended family in Paris is providing a big draw for the Inter player in choosing between Chelsea and PSG – and not in favour of the Blues. Their source is “close to the player” and says he would favour Paris over London, all things being equal.

Luckily they also point out that money will be the deciding factor – isn’t it always, in the end? So Chelsea likely can make the deal happen, if they really want to.

Getting locked into a bidding war with PSG is the last thing anyone wants – but Chelsea are in a strong a position as anyone financially at the moment, and once we’ve shifted a few players, we should be well set up to sign whoever we like.
