Chelsea are expected to field offers of more than £50m for Noni Madueke, but it’s unclear if Arsenal are prepared to do a deal at that price according to The Telegraph.

Madueke is facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, whilst Estevao Willian has now also joined the club.

The Blues haven’t ruled out signing another attacker, but in order for that to happen one will likely have to leave, with Madueke seemingly the most obvious candidate.

Unclear if Arsenal are prepared to pay £50m for Madueke

Madueke has agreed terms on a five year contract with the Gunners, with Arsenal thought to be preparing their first offer.

The 23-year-old would provide cover on both wings, but most importantly he would be an alternative to Bukayo Saka.

Madueke is currently at the Club World Cup with Chelsea, and appeared as second half substitute in the 2-1 win against Palmeiras on Friday night.

It’s believed Chelsea have set their asking price at £50m, and The Telegraph have now reported the Blues are expected to field offers of more than £50m for the England international.

The report adds it remains to be seen if Arsenal would be willing to do a deal at that price, but there’s an increasing confidence Madueke could be heading to north London.

The 23-year-old joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 in a deal worth £29m and has scored 20 goals in 91 appearances for the Blues to date.

Whilst Madueke looks like he’s closing in on a switch to north London, one Arsenal player could potentially be on his way to Stamford Bridge.
