We are just a few hours away from the return of the Expansion League to the Akron Stadium, as this Wednesday Tapatío will host Venados de Mérida, in a match corresponding to Day 1 of the Clausura 2024. Obviously, this won't be the first time they've faced each other in the Perla Tapatía, so below we'll tell you the balance of their clashes on Jalisco soil.

Tapatío and Venados have faced each other 3 times at the Akron Stadium and the record is very favorable for the Red and Whites, as they have never lost at home to the Yucatecans.

The Head-to-Head tally

- The first time they met on Guadalajara soil was on Matchday 14 of the Clausura 2021 and on that day, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

- The second match was won by the Rebaño's Filial by 1-0 on Matchday 3 of the Clausura 2022. In that match, the only goal of the game came at 81' from the penalty spot.

- The last time they met at the Akron was on Matchday 15 of the Apertura 2022 and, once again, El Tapatío won 1-0.
