We take a closer look at Paris Saint-Germain’s trip to the Stade Charléty tomorrow (Matchday 10 of the Arkema Première Ligue) for an eagerly awaited derby against Paris FC.

paris fc a SERIOUS CONTENDER AT charlÉty

Having avoided defeat in their first four home games of the season – from which they picked up three wins and one draw (against OL) – Paris FC's impressive solidity at the Stade Charléty currently has them third in the Arkema Première Ligue table, with centre-forward Clara Mateo in dazzling form. Thanks to her ten goals so far in 2024–2025, the France international is now the top scorer in the French top flight as well as the joint top scorer in Europe's top five leagues, alongside Eintracht Frankfurt's Laura Freigang and FC Barcelona's Ewa Pajor, making her one of the biggest threats for Les Rouge et Bleu's rearguard to keep an eye on tomorrow night.

MAINTAINING SUPREMACY IN THE derby

Despite Paris FC's rise in recent seasons, Paris Saint-Germain still very much hold the upper hand in this Île-de-France derby. Les Parisiennes, who find themselves second in the league table with 24 points, are unbeaten in their last 22 Arkema Première Ligue clashes with PFC, boasting an impressive record of 16 wins and six draws in that time, and their domination of this fixture is largely down to the attacking efficiency of Marie-Antoinette Katoto, who has already netted seven times in the league this season. As a result, the centre-forward leads the way in terms of goals scored for the capital club's women's team right now and will be key for Fabrice Abriel's side on Saturday.
