Real Madrid play the Champions League Group Stage matchday five game at the Red Bull Arena (9pm CEST). This will be the first time our team has been in action at this stadium, which has a capacity of 47,069.

Rebuilt in the early 2000s for the 2006 World Cup in Germany it replaced the existing venue, which dated back to 1956. At that time it was known as the Zentralstadion and was one of the largest stadiums in Germany, accommodating 100,000 spectators.

Constructed inside the old stadium walls, in July 2010 it was renamed the Red Bull Arena and has since become the home of RB Leipzig. The venue was one of the 12 host stadiums chosen for the 2006 World Cup (5 matches were played there) and was the venue for the German League Cup final for three seasons. The RB Arena stages German national team matches, concerts and on 5 June 2013 hosted Michael Ballack's farewell match.
