Inter have now sealed the Scudetto and they have won the Serie A title for the 20th time, as they managed to beat Milan 2-1 in an enthralling game of football at the San Siro.

Much to the pleasure of Nerazzurri fans, the side sealed the Second Star against their great rivals in a moment that fans will remember forever. It isn’t just about the game though, as Inter dominated the league throughout the season and their title win is so richly deserved.

Inter have, throughout the league season, lost only once in the Serie A and that loss came way back in September against Sassuolo. It has been over six months since they were last beaten in the league and it shows how much of a dominant force they have been.

More than that, their current goal difference stands at 61 and only one team has a higher goals scored metric than that and that is Milan, who have scored only three more goals that Inter’s goal difference. There was a point in the season when Inter had a higher goal difference than the number of goals anyone else had scored.

Inzaghi’s side showed defensive and have let in only 18 goals in the season so far and that is much better than their tally in the 2020/21 title winning season, when they conceded 35 by the end of the season.

As a result of their win over Milan, they have now won six Milan derbies in a row and the last time they lost a Milan derby was at the beginning of last season.

Perhaps, the title win was coming. The process was in place, as they had won the Supercoppa Italiana and the Coppa Italia last season, while reaching the Champions league final as well.
