Aberystwyth Town were on course for only a second point in the Genero Adran Premier this season until a late penalty for The New Saints.

Aberystwyth Town were denied just a second point of the campaign, with an 83rd-minute penalty converted by Lia Lewis for The New Saints who remain two points behind the leaders.

Aber did get off the bottom though at the expense of Cardiff Met, beaten 4-0 at Swansea City. Aimee Deacon scored three of the Swans’ goals, as they stayed within a point of TNS in second.

Cardiff City’s Eliza Collie and Fiona Barry were on target at home to Barry, whose Lauren Harris conceded an own-goal as the Bluebirds stayed top of the table.

Olivia Fuller, Abbie Ibbenden and Lili Mai Jones each got one apiece as Wrexham beat Briton Ferry, thereby moving eight points off the bottom.

Adran North

Flint Town United 5-0 NFA Rhyl 0-4 Connah’s Quay Nomads (Att: 55) Bangor 0-1 Llandudno (Att: 59) Llanfair United 2-1 Felinheli (Att: 50)

Kelsey Davies got the only goal of the game for Llandudno at Bangor, Connah’s Quay also made it three straight wins when running out 4-0 victors at Rhyl.

Flint’s Rosie Hughes scored two and made two others in the 5-0 win over NFA, Paris Schofield netted Llanfair’s winner against Felinheli.

Adran South

Penybont 2-0 Cascade (Att:86) Caldicot Town 2-0 Llanelli Town (Att: 30) Cwmbran Celtic 3-4 Pontypridd Town (Att: 53)

Lauren Payne scored twice as Pontypridd United edged a seven-goal thriller between the top two at Cwmbran. Nicole Fenton and Quianna Wheeler had the visitors two up, Lauren Boyd scored either side of Payne’s brace – the second from the spot – Jade Crofts getting Celtic’s third but no equaliser was forthcoming.

Caldicot beat Llanelli to get off the mark, with Rianne Jones and Annabel Carr on target. Casey Daniels and Mollie Jones got the goals as  Penybont also claimed their first points in defeating Cascade.
