The disaster of a stunned USA women's team at the 2023 World Cup was so bad that there was even a documentary made about it.
But that embarrassment seemed a long way away after the first half of their second Olympics match as they led Germany by a 3-1 scoreline.
This is only former Chelsea boss Emma Hayes' second competitive fixture, but the USA are back to their free-flowing, dominant best.
In fact, this was the first time that the USWNT has fired in three first-half goals against Germany since March 1996.
