Josh Achemapong will only leave Chelsea on loan if he agrees with the club that it’s best for his development according to The Guardian.
Acheampong is currently part of the squad in America for the Club World Cup, and could feature in Saturday’s last 16 clash against Benfica.
The 19-year-old didn’t feature in Chelsea’s opening two games, but played the full 90 minutes in the 3-0 win against ES Tunis earlier this week.
Acheampong signed a five year contract in December, after being frozen out by Chelsea until he committed his future to the club.
The teenager impressed on his first Premier League start against Crystal Palace, but only made four Premier League appearances, whilst he made seven in the successful Conference League campaign.
Acheampong would appear to be third choice right back behind Reece James and Malo Gusto, whilst it’s also difficult to see him getting a look in at centre back.

Enzo Maresca has confirmed he wants to keep Acheampong after the right back was linked with a move to German giants Borussia Dortmund.
Acheampong was promoted to the first team squad this season, and needs regular minutes if he’s going to develop.
The Guardian have reported sources close to Acheampong have denied he’s frustrated at Chelsea, and he will only go on loan if he agrees with the club it’s best for his development.
The report adds the long term plan remains for Acheampong to have a successful career at Stamford Bridge.
Whilst Chelsea have plenty of options at right back the same can’t be said at left back, with Marc Cucurella currently the only option in the squad.
Chelsea need back-up to the Spaniard and would have a major issue if he got injured, with Gusto playing there against ES Tunis.

The Blues have been linked with Ajax teenager Jorrel Hato, and the Dutchman is a left back who can also play centre back.
Chelsea are thought to have held initial discussions over a move for Hato, but it’s believed a number of clubs are interested in the 19-year-old.
