The Great Debate: Who will win the Premier League title? 🏆

Article image:The Great Debate: Who will win the Premier League title? 🏆

There are just 10 matches remaining in the Premier League this season, and it could hardly be tighter at the top.

Arsenal and Liverpool are level on 64 points in first and second place respectively, with reigning champions Manchester City just a point behind them in third.

This year’s title race is about as unpredictable as they come, but by predicting the outcome of each club’s remaining 10 fixtures, we have tried to determine the most likely winner.

Watch the video below to see how we did it, and who we are tipping for glory.

I’m just about tipping Manchester City to win it again. On paper I think they have more fixtures you would expect them to win than the other two in what’s left of the season, but I would say City have to beat Arsenal at the end of the month or it might well be curtains for the champions.

The smart money remains on Manchester City but I’ve got a sneaking feeling that Liverpool will get it over the line. Jürgen Klopp’s farewell tour has clearly galvanised their side even in the face of mounting injuries and they are finding ways to hold their nerve and often win – but you could say that about all three sides at present.

It may finally be time for me to give up on my Tottenham pick and dream, although we’re lucky to have three horses in the race at this time of a title run-in so I won’t complain too much.

You would have to think that eventually the injuries will tell for Liverpool and as Dan correctly pointed out, City appear to have an easier path to points on paper than the others so it is four-in-a-row for me. Even if, according to Trent Alexander-Arnold, it won’t quite mean as much to the blue half of Manchester as it might elsewhere…

Though Arsenal are the form team, they will have to banish some demons in the final 10 games of the season if they want to land a long-overdue title, and with a trip to the Etihad next up defeat there could see a repeat of 12 months ago.

With that in mind, the favourites for me still have to be Guardiola’s side. With the know-how and the quality plus a somewhat easier run-in than their competitors, their dynasty looks likely to continue.

Of course, as an Arsenal fan, I’ll be crossing my fingers that it doesn’t happen.
