After missing out on it this year, I reckon Robert Lewandowski is gonna have a real fire in his belly to go and win it again.

He was incredible in 2020 and though individual awards aren’t really my cup of tea, I hope he gets some recognition at The Best Awards.

Based off current form, I’ll say Heung-min Son.

I know it’s a little odd considering he’s never been in the running, but at the minute he is playing the football of his life, could make any team in the world according to many and most of all, under Jose Mourinho, he could be in with a shot at taking home some silverware.

It’s as long shot, but that’s what Son does best.

Mohamed Salah has started this season in impeccable form, and looks a good bet to repeat the goalscoring heroics of his first season at Liverpool.

If he gets anywhere close to the 44 goals of 2017/18 then the Reds will stand a good chance of retaining the Premier League crown and the Egyptian will be in the running for the Ballon d’Or.

I think Neymar’s time has arrived.

He’ll lead PSG to the Champions League and Brazil to the Copa América – and then be rewarded with the big prize.
