What a week! Ledley King became a first team assistant coach at Tottenham!

Oh, and some guy called Andrea Pirlo is now in charge of Juventus.

I have no idea how his team would line up, I have no idea what style of play he’d implement, I have no idea if he’d be any good. But I am desperate to see Sergio Ramos prowling the touchline in the years to come.

We think Diego Simeone’s extreme but imagine Ramos, tattoos and all, and you imagine him being a Simeone/Mourinho hybrid when it comes to aggression and mind games.

I’m not 100% convinced Miroslav Klose will go on to be a major success but I’m certain he’s got some exquisite knowledge to pass on, especially to strikers. The German striker not only has a ridiculous scoring record at club level, but has pretty much completed international football with a World Cup winners medal to his name and the record for the most goals at World Cups.

Add to this the fact that he is now assistant to Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich and all the ingredients are there to make a top, top coach.

I guess we’ll have to see ‘Klose’ to the time!

His move back from MLS to Derby was done solely with the intention of coaching one day, and I must say, Wayne Rooney has all the hallmarks of a properly great manager.

England’s record goalscorer is splitting his time at Pride Park between playing and barking instructions on the sidelines, but it’s going to fascinating seeing him transform fully into a tactician in the near future.

Bending the rules of the question a bit, because Xabi Alonso is already honing his craft in charge of Real Sociedad’s B team.

However, I can’t wait to see him be appointed as head coach of one of the big boys in Europe.

Surely, his teams will play nice football based on the fact of nothing else other than he played nice football.

Anyone who remembers the 2016 European Championship final will know that Cristiano Ronaldo already has coaching experience.

After his injury that night, he attempted to do Fernando Santos’ job for him from the touchline. So let’s find out if he really has what it takes.
