There is no other place better to host a tournament than Germany, and the country should probably host every one from here on out.

Fantastic stadiums, standing areas, efficient transport links and the beer isn’t bad either.

The Olympiastadion in Berlin may not be ideal for Hertha BSC but it was the perfect venue for a Champions League, as proved in 2015.

Tournaments to me mean big stadiums, a football mad country, and sunshine.

Which is why I’m going to go for Argentina. You could almost just host the entire thing in Buenos Aires!

Who wouldn’t tune in for World Cup games at La Bombonera or El Monumental? And locals would make every game thrilling. Yes please!

I think it’s about time Spain hosted a World Cup, how they haven’t since 1982 is beyond me!

They have great culture, great weather, great food and of course fantastic stadiums — what more could fans want!

The Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabéu are arguably two of the greatest stadiums in the world and are more than worthy of serving as platforms for the World Cup.

I’m shocked and dismayed that none of my esteemed colleagues have said England yet!

Have we forgotten the magnificence of Euro ’96 already?

Sure the weather isn’t the best, nor is the food for that matter, but the mouth waters at the prospect of international matches at Old Trafford, Anfield, the Emirates, the Etihad, whatever we’re calling Tottenham’s ground at this point etc.

Do the right thing and bring football home!

Isn’t it about time the World Cup landed in Australia?

About as sports-mad a country as you will find, the land Down Under is big enough to host an international tournament, has enough world class stadia to get the crowds in and a population that just lap up live sport.

The petition starts now to Australia hosting World Cup 2030.
