It’s that special time of year where clubs are releasing the new kits they will be wearing for the upcoming season.
We’re being treated to works of art, funky patterns and also some absolute travesties.
However, which club has the nicest new jersey on offer?
Black and gold is a classic combination and they’ve nailed it in terms of simplicity. You don’t need big bold designs to make a football shirt look good.
What’s the opposite of the Golden Age of football kits? Because that’s where I think we are now.
I’ve been totally underwhelmed by pretty much all the new kits that have been released this summer, with one exception … PSG’s.
I’m a sucker for a retro-style kit and I actually had the original version of this when I was a kid.
Everything else I’ve seen so far has left me with a profound sense of ennui.
There were a couple on my radar but the new Ajax away kit has stolen my heart.
I love the colour and simplicity – and that combination of red badge and collar is absolutely dreamy.
I’m going to have to agree with Lewis, this years’ standout winner has got to be the new Barcelona away kit.
Honestly, they messed up last year with the home kit and the away kit didn’t really look as nice as in the pictures in my opinion but, reverting to a classic look this season, they have got their away strip spot on.
Black and Gold always makes for a classy look and with the simple design and touches of gold in just the right places, this is a dream kit.
Roma always seem to pull it out the bag when it comes to kits.
They’ve really upped their game this year, both the home and away jerseys for 2020/21 are phenomenal. The home shirt just edges it though, look at those stripes.
Apologies gents, the correct answer here are the new Hertha Berlin kits.
Both are modern classics, in my honest opinion, but if I had to pick one it would have to be that gorgeous home shirt.
It really is one for the ages – now Hertha, please don’t ruin in by getting a sponsor!
