A man whose motto was ‘spend more than you earn.’ Sergio Cragnotti was seen as a man from the future, with very few knowing where he got his money from. But as president of Lazio, he ploughed record amounts of cash towards the pursuit of silverware. And he forced Roma fans to boycott milk. Cragnotti’s reign began in jail and ended…in jail. He put together one of the most expensively assembled squads in history and then stole Sven-Goran Eriksson from under Blackburn’s noses and charged him with securing the title.

The life and times of former Perugia owner Luciano Gaucci.
