Once again the kids are proving that age is just a number.
Here are our top five Under-23 performances from the weekend …
It turns out there was no reason to worry at all. Bukayo Saka continued his string of impressive performances with another assist against Newcastle.
That’s now eight for the season – more than any other Arsenal player – and a new contract is surely in the offing.
Dušan Vlahović has enjoyed a mixed start to life at Fiorentina, but he is slowly beginning to show why people are so excited.
He scored twice in the 5-1 win over Sampdoria on Sunday and showed his technical quality with some outrageous touches.
The 20-year-old is one of only four players born in 2000 to score at least five goals in a top European league this term.
The 22-year-old is a one-man wrecking ball, assisting twice in their 4-1 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf.
He also won seven aerial duels and completed six dribbles. What more can you ask for?
Mounir Chouiar put in a man of the match performance for Dijon against Bordeaux, scoring a brace in their 2-2 draw away from home.
He is also second in Ligue 1 for completed dribbles per 90 minutes (3.7) – behind only Neymar (4.1).
There wasn’t much youthful inspiration in LaLiga, but Cucho Hernández did score his first goal for Mallorca against Alavés.
The 20-year-old is a really interesting prospect and Watford should be keeping a close eye on their loanee moving forward.
