Pep Guardiola bemoaned the “fragility” of his Manchester City side after they threw away a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Feyernood in the Champions League.

Erling Haaland’s double and a goal from Ilkay Gundogan had put City in a commanding position before a late collapse saw their Dutch opponents take a point at the Etihad Stadium.

City have now failed to win for six straight games in all competitions, losing five of them, and Guardiola admitted their latest result felt like another defeat.

“We are not stable. We give them the first and the other ones so that’s why it’s difficult,” he told Amazon Prime Sport.

“We’ve lost a lot of games lately. We are fragile and we needed a victory.

“The game was good for the confidence. We played at a good level but something happened and then we had problems.

“I don’t know if it’s mental. The first goal cannot happen and the second as well.

“We are desperate to win and do well but we don’t win games.

“The situation is what it is.”
