The final nail is hammered into the Jules Kounde coffin | OneFootball

The last 48 hours have seen Jules Kounde’s move from Sevilla to Chelsea implode, with a transfer Barcelona now looking certain.

Sport, the Catalan paper with excellent sources, best connected to Barca, says the deal is done, and that the defender will move and sign a contract until 2027.

It’s not heart breaking news because we already knew that Kounde’s future was no longer at Stamford Bridge – despite the strong sensation just days ago that he would be signing for Chelsea.

Things have swung so drastically from last year to this year that we’ve several times expected that he’s coming to Chelsea and several times written if off.

Would we write it off now? Of course not. But we certainly don’t look like we’re favourites at the moment. We hope there are some really good backups on the list that the scouts have produced, because this move looks totally cooked now unfortunately.
