Yesterday it emerged that Manchester City were set to win the race to sign Rosenberg midfielder Sverre Nypan. The 18-year-old has quickly risen to prominence due to his exceptional play with Rosenberg. David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano have reported that Sverre Nypan is on the verge of becoming a Manchester City player. Nypan appears set to become Manchester City’s fifth summer signing after Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli, Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders.

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Rosenberg to sign Sverre Nypan.

David Ornstein has reported for The Athletic that Manchester City will pay Rosenberg £12.5 million to sign Sverre Nypan. Furthermore, Ornstein reports that there are no further contingencies or sell-on clauses included in the deal that will see City sign Nypan. David Ornstein further reports that personal terms between Sverre Nypan and City are yet to be agreed. Lastly, Ornstein reports that it is expected that Nypan will spend next season on loan to further his development.

Sverre Nypan is the latest young talent to be scooped up by City.

Manchester City have recently signed a host of talented young players. Savinho was signed last summer. Vitor Reis, Juma Bah and Abdukodir Khusanov were signed by the club during the January transfer window. Claudio Echeverri also joined the club after finishing his loan spell with River Plate in January. This summer Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki have been signed by Manchester City.
