It’s been an up-and-down season for Blackburn Rovers but they remain just a point outside the play-off places.
Only the Championship‘s top two, Burnley and Sheffield United, have won more games than Rovers this term (14) but only five clubs have suffered more defeats (13).
It’s a unique record but Jon Dahl Tomasson will likely be desperate to see a little more consistency as the season wears on.
That will be echoed by the Ewood Park support and there may well be some famous faces in the stands as we near the business end of 2022/23.
With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of six of Rovers’ famous fans…
Matt Smith
Best known for his portrayals of Dr Who and Prince Charles in The Crown, Matt Smith is a Blackburn fan.
The 40-year-old actually featured for the Northampton Town, Nottingham Forest, and Leicester City youth teams before his playing career was ended due to injury.
Stephen Hendry
Snooker legend Stephen Hendry may hail from north of the border but he’s known to be a Rovers fan.
He won seven world titles in the 1990s and also has six Masters triumphs to his name.
Lee Mack
A familiar face on British TV, comedian and actor Lee Mack was born and raised in Southport.
A boyhood Blackburn supporter, Mack is occasionally spotted at Ewood Park.

Carl Fogarty
The second champion sportsman on this list, motorsport star Carl Fogarty is one of Blackburn’s most famous sons and a big Rovers fan.
He won four Superbike World Championships – making him one of the most successful riders in the competition’s history.
Jack Straw
Former Labour politician Jack Straw is a famed supporter of the Championship club.
Straw was a long-serving MP for Blackburn and was home secretary under Tony Blair between 1997 and 2001.
Tim Farron
Another ex-politician that loves Rovers, Tim Farron is the former leader of the Liberal Democrats.
Farron was born in Preston but is a huge Blackburn fan and even won an episode of Celebrity Mastermind with the club as his specialist subject.
