The England squad (see below) was announced at 12 noon on Friday – Official announcement from The FA:
Thomas Tuchel has named his first England squad of the 2025-26 season, as the Three Lions prepare to face Andorra and Serbia in their 2026 FIFA World Cup European qualifying campaign.
The England head coach, celebrating his 52nd birthday, has picked a 24-man group for the fixtures, which kick-off at Villa Park with the visit of Andorra on Saturday 6 September (5pm BST) before they head to Belgrade to face Serbia on Tuesday 9 September (7.45pm BST).
Among the squad, there are first senior call-ups for Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence and Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson following impressive starts to the new campaign for their clubs.
Both players have previously represented England MU21s, with Spence featuring in 2022-23 while Anderson was a part of Lee Carsley’s squad in Slovakia as the Young Lions lifted a second successive UEFA U21 EURO title.

The squad will report to St. George’s Park next week to begin their preparations for the Andorra game following the weekend’s domestic fixtures.
England currently sit in top spot in their qualifying group, having picked up wins over Albania, Latvia and Andorra in Tuchel’s first three games.
The campaign continues into the autumn with the remaining fixtures to follow in the October and November international windows with England looking to secure their place at next summer’s World Cup in USA, Mexico and Canada.
