Well, it’s time for all the praise now for a player that Chelsea have not even signed yet, but the anticipation builds up.
Chelsea will most certainly be signing Jorrel Hato from Ajax very soon now in this latest summer transfer window, I think that has become clear despite reports in Holland this morning still claiming that they are not agree on a transfer fee.
Fabrizio Romano has already stated that we will have the ‘here we go’ done deal coming soon for Chelsea to sign Hato this window, so it’s not far off, I’m now convinced it will get done.
Hato is clearly a very solid player who will be coming in to add competition to that left back area where the club only have Marc Cucurella at the moment and need more options there.
Cucurella needs to play less games next season and Hato is one of the best options around to come in and back him up and challenge for his spot.

Stats based website, Opta Analyst, have a very good article out on Hato this week and it’s clear to see why Chelsea and Enzo Maresca want them after seeing some of the quotes.
They state:
‘You can see why he [Hato] is of interest to a club like Chelsea. Maresca wants defenders who can progress the ball, dictate tempo, and play under pressure.
‘The exciting thing about Hato is that, sure, he’s a top young talent. But he also already performing like a seasoned pro.
‘Composed, technically gifted and tactically versatile he’s already one of Ajax’s most important players. On the face of it, there is a lot of potential long-term upside.
‘Is there concern about the fact that he’s only 19 years old? There shouldn’t be really as Hato is a very experienced player compared to other teenagers.
‘He has already played 111 competitive games for Ajax’s first team.’
