West Ham United hosted Manchester United at the London Stadium on Matchday 5 of the 2021-22 Premier League season.

West Ham took the lead through a Said Benrahma goal in the first half, followed by an equalizer by Cristiano Ronald. It looked like the game would end in a draw, but Jesse Lingard put the Red Devils ahead in the dying moments of the match. If anyone thought, the drama was over, West Ham were then awarded a penalty in added time, a chance to salvage a point from the game. David Moyes sent on Mark Noble from the bench to take the penalty, which he missed, giving Man United the victory.
