Manchester City started with a 4-3-3 formation with Ferran Torres leading the line for the Citizens.
City players were dominant throughout the match and the average position of their players is within the opposition half.
The visitors made a few changes and started with a 5-4-1 formation.
Arsenal players struggled to get out of their half and the stats show the same.
A dominant performance from Man City as they scored 5 goals with plenty of chances created in the game.
Arsenal failed to register any shot on or off the target. On the other hand, City shot a total of 22 shots.
4 out of the 5 goals were scored from inside the box. Rodri scored the only goal from outside the box.
The away team failed to register any shot.
Man City center back Aymeric Laporte registered the most number of shots with 4. Ferran Torres was the only player to register 2 shots on target and scored both the opportunities.
Gundogan and Rodri were the driving force for the team as the duo attempted a total of 209 passes in the game.
Arsenal had very less possession and only Chambers attempted more than 25 passes.
City attacked mostly from the right side of the field. Mahrez created a lot of trouble with his deliveries inside the opposition box.
Arsenal managed to put the ball inside the opposition box only 8 times and all the passes were easily cleared by City’s defence.
Joao Cancelo created a lot of chances from left-back and right-back position throughout the match. Gundogan’s passing ability was a threat for Arsenal’s defence throughout the match.
Sterling and Mahrez came off the bench to show their dribbling skills and were able to create chances with their skills.
10 men Arsenal struggled to keep the possession and were unable to impose any threat with their passing.
Smith-Rowe was the only Arsenal player who caused a little bit of trouble to the opposition with his dribbling skills.
Rodri won half of his defensive duos and lost half of them throughout the match.
Joao Cancelo was dominant in the air as the full-back managed to win 4 out of 5 aerial duals.
The team had a 50% winning rate when it comes to loose ball duels.
Arsenal players were poor defensively and lost most of their defensive duals leading to 5 goals in the match.
Aubameyang showed his dominance in the air and managed to win 80% of his aerial duals throughout the match.
Tierney and Rob Holding recovered the loose balls well and won most of their duals.
