Barnsley manager Markus Schopp made three changes to the playing 11. Callum Styles, Josh Benson, and Victor Adeboyejo returned to the starting 11 as the team played in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Wayne Rooney made three changes from their 1-2 defeat against the Rovers. Jason Knight, Colin Kazim-Richards and Sam Baldock were introduced, as the Rams played in a 4-3-3 formation.
The average position of the starting 11 shows that Jason Knight operated from the right side. Sam Baldock played a deeper role and his average position was alongside the central midfielders.

Ravel Morrison created the highest threat from passes for the away side. Derby’s creation zones were wide and the team was more creative on the left side.

The Tykes lost most of the defensive duels in the middle third and final third. Juel Andersen and Woodrow won three defensive duels each for the home side.
Mads Juel Andersen and Martin Helik showed some aerial dominance, as the defensive pair won ten out of the 13 aerial duels contested. They were supported by Jasper Moon, who won three out of the ten duels contested.
The team won most of the loose ball duels in the defensive third. Martin Helik won three duels, and they ended in a neutral result. Callum Brittain, Moon, and Leya won two duels each.
Derby County players won most of their defensive duels in the middle third. Nathan Byrne won three duels and was supported by Buchanan and Morrison, who won two duels each.
Colin Kazim-Richards contested nine aerial duels and had a 66.67 win percentage. Curtis Davies and Jason Knight won five aerial duels for the away side. Lee Buchanan and Forsyth won four duels each as Derby County showed aerial dominance in the attacking third.

Derby County still remains at the bottom of the table. Wayne Rooney’s team has scored the second-lowest number of goals in the league, and they have a massive mountain to climb. Barnsley, on the other hand, will face Hull City in the next fixture and will aim to take all three points from that game.
