Sundayâs Premier League fixtures delivered a triple-header of entertaining matches.
Hereâs how it all played out.
The afternoon began with Newcastle claiming a 2-1 win over Tottenham, while Crystal Palace held London counterparts Chelsea to a 1-1 draw.
In the dayâs most anticipated fixture, Liverpool blew Manchester United away with a 3-0 dismantling at Old Trafford.
Liverpoolâs players are thriving under Arne Slotâs early tutelage and none more so than Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian has returned with a sharp new look and a prolific repertoire to match after dominating against United.
Two assists for Luis DĂazâs quickfire brace late in the first half kicked things off for Salahâs latest Old Trafford showcase.
But the best was still to come as he scored on a seventh consecutive appearance at the Theatre of Dreams with a sweeping finish.
Thatâs now three goals and three assists in as many games in this Premier League season for the Redsâ talismanic forward.
This is Salahâs world and weâre all just living in it.
Itâs a familiar line-up at the summit with Manchester City and Liverpool separated by goal difference as the only teams still with 100% records.
For Erik ten Hag, the pressure is ramping up again with his United side sitting 14th in the table after their opening three top-flight outings.
Elsewhere, Newcastleâs win moved them ahead of Brentford into fifth, while Palace are finally off and running with their first point of the season.
Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson on their Old Trafford win:Â âThey always say clean sheets will win you things and thatâs always been the case when Manchester City have won the league and when we did. Three games without a goal conceded is really good and we want to keep that going.â
Enzo Maresca wasnât happy that Crystal Palace werenât reduced to 10 men after Will Hughes avoided a second booking: âIt probably was the second yellow card, they would have gone to 10 and the game would have changed but the referee saw it another way.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou stayed upbeat despite his sideâs defeat: âIf we continue playing like that, I know weâll get our rewards. The result doesnât reflect the performance. Itâs a sore one.â
An international break, which will come as a blessing for some clubs and a minor inconvenience for others.
