Palmeiras secured their spot in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup by winning the 2023/24 Copa Libertadores, South America's premier club competition. This victory earned them direct entry into the tournament.

Palmeiras has participated in two editions of the FIFA Club World Cup. Their most notable performance came in 2021 when they reached the final but were narrowly defeated by Chelsea.

Palmeiras are managed by Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira. Since joining the club in 2020, Ferreira has led Palmeiras to two Copa Libertadores titles and two Brazilian championships.
Palmeiras' standout player is Estêvão Willian, an 18-year-old winger who has been compared to some of the game's greats. Known for his dribbling, creativity and finishing ability, Estêvão has signed for Chelsea but will remain with Palmeiras for the Club World Cup.
Palmeiras have been drawn alongside Inter Miami, Al Ahly and Porto in Group A and will fancy their chances to finish in the top two.
