The Chelsea player who was “furious at full-time” after Ipswich defeat and had to be guided away

One Chelsea player was ‘furious at full time’ after the defeat to Ipswich Town on Monday night in the Premier League this week.

Chelsea went down 2-0 to Ipswich in last night’s game and put in a terrible performance. To be honest, the players kicking off at the end was pretty much the only fight they decided to put in for that game and none of it was actually on the pitch – they just all wanted to fight at the end of the game instead. It was frankly too little, too late in the end.

Ipswich had much more fight and desire than Chelsea had, and that was really what won them the game in the end and Chelsea’s talent and skill just wasn’t enough.

Chelsea are now off the back of three bad performances in a row and two defeats in a row, and things have gone from looking very good this season to looking pretty bad.

Maresca drags Fernandez out of trouble

Enzo Fernandez was furious

Enzo Fernandez was the frustrated player who seemingly wanted to have a fight come the end of the game, probably just annoyed that his team had lost and they were so bad.

Chelsea reporter Bobby Vincent reports that Fernandez was furious at full time and was basically restrained by Mareesca who wanted to avoid him getting booked or sent off after the whistle had gone, exactly what Marc Cucurella had done a couple games back.

Emotions are always natural in football games, but you really just want to see this kind of fight and desire when they are playing rather than off the ball and when the game is over.

It’s lucky that Maresca got involved and stopped any more serious foul play and bookings.
