Andre Breitenreiter took charge at Huddersfield Town in February with the team battling against relegation from the Championship.

Neil Warnock and Darren Moore both oversaw the team this term prior to Breitenreiter’s appointment.

The 50-year-old has overseen 12 games during his time with the Yorkshire outfit so far, winning just twice.

The team is sitting 23rd in the actual Championship table, three points adrift of safety with only two games remaining.

Here we look at how the second tier standings look while just taking into account the part of the season where Breitenreiter has been in charge at Huddersfield

Huddersfield have been at risk of relegation throughout the entire campaign, so it comes as no surprise that this hasn’t changed under Breitenreiter.

The German has overseen six defeats from his 12 games as manager, leaving the team 22nd in the standings from just his time at the club alone.

Only Sunderland and Rotherham United have worse records during this period, with the Terriers picking up 10 points from the 12 games.

A goal difference of -12 comes from a goal record of 10 for and 22 against.

Their record at home is actually worse than away from home, with Breitnereiter’s side earning just four points from six games at the John Smith’s Stadium, scoring just five and conceding 14.

Their away form has seen them earn six points from six games, scoring five and conceding eight.

A 4-0 loss to Swansea City last weekend was their worst result under Breitenreiter, with a 4-1 defeat to West Brom in March being another big home defeat.

Wins against Watford and Millwall remain the only victories under the former Hoffenheim coach, with the team having earned one point fewer than Plymouth Argyle during this time.

The rest of the division’s form during Breitenreiter’s tenure also makes for some interesting reading.

Sheffield Wednesday and QPR both occupied a place in the bottom three when the Terriers introduced their latest manager.

But both sides are now out of the relegation zone, having picked up 18 and 21 points in the last two months, respectively.

QPR are sixth in the standings for this period, winning six of their last 12, while the Owls are 12th, with five wins from 11.

Other relegation rivals like Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers have also picked up enough points to create a gap to the current bottom three.

The Potters have won four from their last 12 for a points tally of 15 from the last 36 available.

Meanwhile, John Eustace’s side has picked up 13 points from their last 12 games, winning two and drawing seven.

Ipswich Town top the standings for this period, with current league leaders Leicester City down in 13th.

Norwich City and Leeds United make up second and third, with the top three earning 26, 24 and 24 points from 12 games played each.

This table also highlights how far Sunderland’s form has fallen under Mike Dodds, with the team winning two from 12, earning just nine points in that time.
