The boo boys won’t win at Rangers

We often get abuse on Ibrox Noise, or accusations of being fake news, or being called tims, you name it.

Many have praised us for our honesty, for our content, for the community we’ve built, but there’s just that little minority that loves to be heard for insulting us.

It would be easy to take it personally, if we had thinner skins.

We don’t. Say what you like, we don’t actually care.

Because the funny thing is this:

Last season, Borna Barisic, Amad Diallo, John Lundstram, Fashion Sakala, and Connor Goldson to name just 5 took infinitely worse abuse than Ibrox Noise did.

And they’re supposed to be players we unconditionally back.

What chance does a Rangers fan site have from the keyboard warrior loudmouths if the players everyone is supposed to support get worse abuse than a website does?

Look at Calvin Bassey – he turned off open comments on his Instagram to avoid abuse – he’s always been like that, and he is currently the prize trophy of supporters.

If even HE is being abused by a minority, a modest fansite like Ibrox Noise has zero chance!

We honestly do not mind the abuse – it comes with the territory in football. If you are a figure in football, be it media, the dugout or a player himself, you WILL be subject to various kinds of abuse.

It’s part of the territory.

But it does make you wonder what being a Rangers supporter is these days, that it is perfectly normal to abuse your own now.

Whether it’s a player, the manager (yes, let’s not forget the dog sh*t that Gio took from a HUGE portion of the support after February’s Old Firm) or a fan site, abuse is sadly part of it.

So if you think you’re hurting us by abusing or smearing, sorry, too old and ugly to care what you think.

We won’t stop doing what we do, and neither will Rangers.

WATP.
