Newcastle United appear to be on the verge of pulling off one of the transfer coups of the summer.

Various reports this week claim the Magpies have made a €70m approach for Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali, one of the most promising young talents in European football.

The 23-year-old Italian international joined Milan from Brescia in 2021, and he’s coming off the back of a stellar 2022/23 season in which he registered 12 goal involvements for the Rossoneri.
