He played for the England U15 team aged 13 and continued to represent the country at the U16 level. He then made two appearances for the country of his birth, Germany, and their U16 team in October 2018. Musiala subsequently featured in eight appearances for England’s U17 side, scoring in his first two outings.

In February 2021, he announced that he had decided to represent his birth nation, Germany, for full international matches. He subsequently received his first call up to the senior team for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March 2021.

He joined Bayern Munich in 2019 when he was 16 years old. He became the youngest ever player to play for Bayern in the Bundesliga at the age of 17 years and 205 days. He is also Bayern’s youngest ever Champions League goalscorer. He is an attacking midfielder with perfect dynamism who probably will replace Thomas Muller. It’s a double benefit. A single player can replace Muller in both the German team and Bayern Munich.

All his former coaches praised him abundantly, and they could not believe what they saw on him. They assure that he has an unreal talent, and he is a phenomenal goalscorer. He is a wonderkid with outstanding goalscoring ability and a teenager who possess high confidence.

Right now, the teenager is at the best place to develop as a young player. Hansi Flick allowed him to be in the first team while he was managing Bayern. So, he knows the kid very well. So, with the German National Team, Musiala wouldn’t have any barriers to development. With Bayern Munich, he is under Julian Nagelsmann, who is excellent in player management. So, the overall growth for the boy is on the right track with guidance from every side. He is lucky to be under the radar of the two best football managers globally.

He was one of the nominees for the Golden Boy award and France Football’s Kopa Trophy. But both were won by Barcelona’s Spanish midfielder Pedri Gonzalez. With Hansi Flick as the manager of the German National Team, he will be one of the key players for the future, along with Florian Wirtz, Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko.
