Three members of the midfield ranks at Barcelona will be forced to walk the disciplinary tightrope in the club’s meeting with Cádiz this weekend.

As much comes with the trio all just a solitary booking away from a suspension.

Barca, of course, will mark their return to domestic action on Saturday night, when Xavi’s troops make the trip to the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla for a La Liga meeting with relegation-battling Cádiz.

The matchup comes amid an absolutely crucial run of fixtures for the Blaugrana, sandwiched between a pair of Champions League quarter-final meetings with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Not only that, but the club’s ensuing outing next weekend comes in the form of a showdown with none other than bitter rivals Real Madrid.

Safe to say, then, that the coaching staff in Catalunya’s capital are no doubt eager to have as many of their key performers as possible available to contribute in each of the club’s next three outings.

As alluded to above, though, three such players will be forced to watch their step on Saturday, to ensure that they are not ruled out of El Clásico.

The trio in question comes in the form of İlkay Gündoğan, Andreas Christensen, and Oriol Romeu.

All have been booked on four occasions across the La Liga campaign to date, meaning a further yellow card would see them pick up a one-game suspension.
