Both sides are going strong in the Championship, with the Black Cats topping the table on goal difference, while the Baggies occupy sixth position.

The Championship duo are both on extended unbeaten runs. The Wearsiders are unbeaten in their last nine league games, while West Brom are unbeaten in their last eight.

The Black Cats will be boosted by the returns of Jobe Bellingham, Patrick Roberts and Trai Hume following their suspensions.

No fewer than 11 players are set to miss the encounter as Football League World assesses the absentees for Tuesday's clash.

Daryl Dike is yet to feature this season, having suffered a setback to his achilles tendon injury.

Corberán confirmed the striker would not be available until after the Christmas period.

As the fixtures pile up, so do the absentees for either side as they embark on a hectic festive period of fixtures.

Although both sides are on extended unbeaten runs, both sides have been struggling for victories. Sunderland have won one of their last five, while West Brom have only managed one win in their last 10.

The Black Cats are unbeaten at home this season and will be aiming for their fourth successive win over the Baggies.
