Article image:The 10 best Bundesliga players on FIFA 23 per position

The Bundesliga is one of Europe's top five leagues and is one of the most exciting divisions in the world, so it is no wonder that there are plenty of top players on FIFA 23 who ply their trade in Germany.

Whether it be for Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund or RB Leipzig, some top talents play in the German top flight, which is reflected in the FIFA ratings for the division.

Some players don't just feature right at the very top in the Bundesliga, but also across the world. Bayern, in particular, are heavily represented after having won the title in each of the past 10 seasons.

GiveMeSport VIDEO OF THE DAY

Here, we run you through the 10 best goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards in FIFA 23.

Goalkeepers

10 - Manuel Riemann, VfL Bochum - 79

9 - Mark Flekken, Freiburg - 80

8 - Lukas Hradecky, Bayer Leverkusen - 83

7 - Gregor Kobel, Borussia Dortmund - 83

6 - Oliver Baumann, Hoffenheim - 83

5 - Koen Casteels, Wolfsburg - 84

4 - Yann Sommer, Bayern Munich - 85

3 - Peter Gulacsi, RB Leipzig - 85

2 - Kevin Trapp, Eintracht Frankfurt - 86

1 - Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich - 90

Unsurprisingly, Neuer is once again top dog. The 36-year-old has long been the best goalkeeper in Germany, while he is also the joint-best rated shot-stopper in the game along with Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois.

Trapp's heroics for Frankfurt as they won the Europa League last season have seen him rise to number in the list, while Bayern now have two of the top goalkeepers in the game following the signing of Sommer from Borussia Monchengladbach during the January transfer window.

The top ten does not only include players from the biggest sides in the league, however, with lowly Bochum's Riemann also making the cut.

Defenders

10 - Raphael Guerreiro, LB, Borussia Dortmund - 82

9 - Noussair Mazraoui, RB, Bayern Munich - 82

8 - Matthias Ginter, CB, Freiburg - 82

7 - Nico Schlotterbeck, CB, Borussia Dortmund - 82

6 - Angelino, LB, Hoffenheim - 83

5 - Mats Hummels, CB, Borussia Dortmund - 84

4 - Alphonso Davies, LB, Bayern Munich - 84

3 - Lucas Hernandez, CB, Bayern Munich - 84

2 - Matthijs De Ligt, CB, Bayern Munich - 85

1 - Niklas Sule, CB, Borussia Dortmund - 85

While Bayern dominate once more, with three of the top four, they do not reign supreme alone, as summer signing De Ligt is joined by Dortmund's Sule at the summit. Of course, the latter did previously play for Bayern and only moved to the Schwarzgelben ahead of the 2022/23 season.

More than half of the top 10 is made up of centre-backs, with Mazraoui, who switched to the Allianz Arena from Ajax during the summer window, the only right-back.

Bundesliga players are some way off the top of the tree here, though, with Virgil van Dijk, the best defender in the game, rated a whole five points better than the German top-flight's standard-bearers.

Midfielders

10 - Dani Olmo, CAM, RB Leipzig - 81

9 - Julian Brandt, CAM, Borussia Dortmund - 82

8 - Florian Wirtz, CAM, Bayer Leverkusen - 82

7 - Emre Can, CM, Borussia Dortmund - 82

6 - Konrad Laimer, CDM, RB Leipzig - 83

5 - Jude Bellingham, CM, Borussia Dortmund - 84

4 - Marco Reus, CAM, Borussia Dortmund - 85

3 - Leon Goretzka, CM, Bayern Munich - 87

2 - Thomas Muller, CAM - Bayern Munich - 87

1 - Joshua Kimmich, CDM - Bayern Munich - 89

According to FIFA 23, Bayern have the best midfield in the Bundesliga by some distance, and it is hard to disagree. Kimmich's consistency has been astounding over the last few seasons, and he rightly takes top spot here.

He is followed by Goretzka and Muller, which not only makes it a Bayern top three, but a German one too. Dortmund duo Reus and Bellingham round off the rest of the first quintet.

Also making it into this select group are Leipzig's Laimer and Olmo, as well as Leverkusen attacking midfielder Wirtz. Kimmich's rating also gives him a top-10 midfield ranking across the whole game.

Forwards

10 - Andrej Kramaric, CF, Hoffenheim - 82

9 - Timo Werner, ST, RB Leipzig - 82

8 - Andre Silva, ST, RB Leipzig - 82

7 - Moussa Diaby, RW, Bayer Leverkusen - 84

6 - Leroy Sane, LW, Bayern Munich - 84

5 - Serge Gnabry, RW, Bayern Munich - 85

4 - Patrik Schick, ST, Bayer Leverkusen - 85

3 - Kingsley Coman, LW, Bayern Munich - 86

2 - Christopher Nkunku, CF, RB Leipzig - 86

1 - Sadio Mane, LW, Bayern Munich - 89

There is a clear winner when it comes to the forwards. Mane was one of the best players in the Premier League, so it is perhaps no surprise that he leads the way in the Bundesliga after making the move from Liverpool.

Bayern again come out on top regarding the number of representatives with four, but Leipzig have three themselves. Nkunku is the highest on the list of that trio, moving into second after winning the division's Player of the Year award last term.

SchickKramaric clinching tenth. Mane's 89 rating is enough to get him into the top 10 forwards in the game.
