Marcus Rashford has been told to leave Manchester United by Simon Jordan.

The under-performing England international has scored eight goals this season. That is a huge fall from the 30 he scored last season.

United have struggled since the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign and currently sit eighth in the Premier League table. A lot of the blame has been directed at key players such as Rashford.

Rashford is now approaching his 400th appearance for his boyhood club. We should be talking about him having a long-term future at Old Trafford, but instead, we are questioning whether he will be at the club next season.

Something isn’t right and we’ve been saying it all season.

The forward’s skillset was debated on Three Up Front, hosted by Simon Jordan and featuring former footballers Troy Deeney and Graeme Souness, as cited by the Manchester Evening News.

Former Watford striker Deeney argued that Rashford isn’t in the ‘world class’ bracket, even going as far as saying he’s ‘not even on the same planet’ as Mohamed Salah after Jordan claimed Liverpool’s talisman wasn’t a world class player.

Reflecting on Rashford’s future in Manchester, Jordan said: “I think he’s done. The problem with Marcus Rashford now is that well has been polluted, I think he has to move on as much for himself as potentially for Manchester United.”

Rashford reportedly earns a whopping £350,000-a-week at United. That contract will run until 2028, and it doesn’t look like he will be forced to leave.

Souness added: “When I was a player, no one was given permission to not track back, you’d spint forward, and even quicker coming back no one was given a pass.”
