Peter Bosz has admitted that Liverpool have not approached him despite his PSV Eindhoven side being nine points ahead of Arne Slot’s Feyenoord.

Liverpool are in talks with Feyenoord as they push to take Slot to Anfield as the successor to their current manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Dutch club have already rejected a €9m offer from Liverpool and want somewhere around €15m in compensation from the Merseyside giants.

Slot’s Feyenoord won the Eredivisie last season but are nine points behind Bosz’s PSV side, who could win the league this week if results go in their favour, this term.

The PSV coach is not bothered that he was not approached by the Reds and insisted that he is more than happy in Eindhoven at the moment.

However, he is excited about the prospect of watching Slot move to the Premier League and manage Liverpool.

“Yes, but that didn’t happen”, Bosz said in a press conference when asked why Liverpool did not contact him instead of Slot despite his team being ahead of Feyenoord in the Eredivisie

“I am having a great time at PSV, just let me stay here.

“It would be great for Arne because Liverpool are a big club.

“He is more than welcome.”

Liverpool are hopeful of working out a deal with Feyenoord soon to get their hands on Slot and then the pressure will be on the Dutchman to keep them towards the top end of the Premier League.
