Milan came out of the Metropolitano on Wednesday with three precious points that keep them in the picture for the Round of 16 of the Champions League.

However, the 1-0 win did not come at no cost, as the Diavolo lost another player to injury. While Mike Maignan, Fik Tomori and Rafa Leão have recovered from their injuries, it is now the time of Olivier Giroud to get on the treatment table.

The 35-year-old, who this season already suffered from a back injury and COVID, left the pitch in the 65′ minute against Atlético, holding his thigh. As reported by Milannews.it, test have confirmed an issue in the biceps femoris muscle of his left thigh, that is – Giroud has a hamstring injury.

The forward will be evaluated again in 10 days, but hamstring injuries take a while to heal, so it’d be fair to assume that – like Ante Rebić who has a similar injury – Giroud will only return in 2022.
