Tests Confirm Inter Midfielder Stefano Sensi Has No Calf Injury, Italian Media Claim | OneFootball

Inter have received a welcome injury boost after tests excluded any kind of injury for midfielder Stefano Sensi today, according to a report in Italy.

Sensi was named in Antonio Conte’s starting line-up for yesterday’s Coppa Italia clash away to Fiorentina, only to be replaced by Arturo Vidal at the last minute after he pulled up during the warm-up citing a calf problem.

Conte assured supporters Sensi’s decision not to play was a precautionary measure after the match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, and now it seems medical examinations carried out by the Nerazzurri’s doctors have confirmed the former Sassuolo man stopped in time.

FCInter1908.it’s editor Daniele Mari has taken to Twitter and posted: “Today Stefano Sensi was subjected to tests after the calf muscle problem sustained yesterday in the warm-up. The tests did not reveal any particular problems or injuries.”

FCInterNews.it meanwhile claim that Sensi’s condition will be evaluated on a day by day basis in the lead up to Sunday’s match versus Juventus.

Sensi joined Inter in the summer of 2019 from Sassuolo but has had an absolutely torrid time with injury that has significantly limited his playing time.

This season Sensi has been limited to nine appearances across all competitions, only one of which has come as a starter, against Benevento on 30 September.
