Julen Lopetegui is clinging on to his job at West Ham United after a disastrous start to the season.
The Hammers held talks over the 58-year-old’s future at the London Stadium following the 3-1 loss to Leicester City on Tuesday.
West Ham decided to keep the Spaniard in place for the crunch clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, with the game likely to be his last chance to impress the club’s hierarchy.
The Irons have already started considering replacements for Lopetegui, whose days at the club look numbered.
They approached former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic to take over as their new manager.
According to BILD, the London outfit made a ‘specific’ offer to the German football expert, but he wasn’t interested in the job.
Terzic took Dortmund to the Champions League final last year, where they ultimately lost to Real Madrid.
The 42-year-old resigned from his post just two weeks after the final.
Terzic would be a fantastic appointment for West Ham, as he is young, successful and plays a positive brand of football that will appease the Hammers’ supporters.
However, it looks clear that he is not interested in taking the job.
The Premier League side have also been heavily linked with Graham Potter.
He was successful during his time at Brighton & Hove Albion, but he failed to replicate that success at Chelsea and was sacked after less than seven months.
